With the rapid economic development, outdoor sports are gradually emerging, and the behavior of outdoor sportsmen will have a certain impact on the ecological environment. In this paper, the concept of outdoor sports is proposed, and the two main behav-iors of outdoor sportsmen in terms ofenvironmental pollution have been summarized, namely, improper disposal of domestic waste and damage to the eco-logical environment by sports activities. The envi-ronmental awareness of outdoor athletes is very im-portant. Moreover, taking 30 outdoor sports clubs in the urban area around Mount Tai as an example, the questionnaire survey method is used to analyze the environmental awareness of the athletes. Through analysis, it is concluded that in the process of out-door sports organization, outdoor sports clubs are not sufficient in formulating environmental protection systems and promoting environmental protection culture.30% of clubs did not formulate relevant en-vironmental protection systems, and 36.7% of clubs stated that they did not promote environmental pro-tection culture.Among the 400 outdoor athletes sur-veyed, 55.25% have strong environmental aware-ness, and only 26.75% will concentrate their outdoor domestic waste with plastic bags. Therefore, it is necessary to actively improve environmental aware-ness during outdoor sports, and the club should also strengthen the promotion of environmental aware-ness and improve the cultural level of ecological and environmental protection.
