摘要

Monitoring of manufacturing processes through dedicated sensors can generate large volumes of data due to high sampling rates and concurrent retrieval of multiple values. Consequently, proper function of engaged systems towards real-time identification of defects may be hindered. This study investigates feasibility of welding processes quality monitoring under the prism of full data utilization in parallel to maintaining the manufacturing efficiency of the whole process-monitoring system. This is performed through analyzing computational times, storage needs and the cost of the alternative scenarios defined by the policy-hardware-software combination. A roadmap is created towards selecting the most appropriate quality monitoring workflow.
