The paper discusses a new parameter identification approach via an integrator of hydraulic cylinder dynamics. First, we review the several representations of hydraulic cylinder dynamics and focus on the integrator as a structural property. Second, we discuss the new physical parameter identification approach which would be more suitable to many controller design procedures in respect that the identification error can be expressed as uncertainty. Finally, by the model validation, we partially confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
