My congratulations to Roger Penrose for speaking out about the illogical aspects of quantum mechanics [DISCOVER Interview, September, page 54]. I find it ridiculous that anyone can consider Schrodinger's cat dead and alive at the same time. If I used the same reasoning, I'd have to assume that all who believe this theory are both alive and dead themselves since I can't see them. If quantum theory doesn't work, perhaps it's time to look for other solutions rather than making up other theories to try to support current thinking.
