Opening up the left bank of the Scheldt, the €340M (S470M) Deurganckdock lock will, says the Port of Antwerp, keep it at the top of the big, bigger, biggest list As DPC goes to press, they're breaking ground in Antwerp's Waaslandhaven on "the largest lock in the world". At 17.8m below chart datum, the Deurganckdock will be deeper than the existing title holder, the Berendrecht, though at 68m wide and 500m long between gates it will have the same overall dimensions.
