A new device from the 3M Electronic Solutions Division provides reliable retention of CompactFlash Type I (CF I) and Type II (CF II) removable memory cards mated with 3M CF II card headers, helping to prevent the card from backing out. The 3M Retainer Clip for CF II attaches to 3M CF II card headers that accept 3M CF II ejector hard-ware. Using active mechanical retention to secure the card to the header, the clip adds a second layer of protection beyond passive friction.
