"The Lord will record what you have A done for another in the Book of Life," John Kasich, the Republican governor of Ohio, told an admiring crowd of a couple of thousand people at Ohio State University on July 21st. "The Lord wants our heart to reach out to those that don't have what we have." Sounding more like a preacher than a candidate, Mr Kasich spoke of faith and empathy in a meandering 45-minute address which also contained an announcement that he is running for president.
