The Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT) is a multi-stakeholder action network working for significant, continuous improvements in fiscal transparency, participation, and accountability in countries around the world. GIFT'S strategy is to advance global norms, align incentives, strengthen technical assistance, and harness new technologies in order to foster more open public budgeting globally. GIFT is governed by its Lead Stewards and founders: the governments of Brazil and Philippines; the International Monetary Fund; the World Bank Group; and the International Budget Partnership (IBP).
