sir - You asserted that companies are threatening to leave Illinois because the state budget is a mess and corporate taxes are stultifying ("Illi-noyed", December 3rd). But leave for where? Illinois added 30,000 jobs to the payroll in October, a sign that the business climate can't be that inhospitable. In nearby Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker took office in January with measures designed to open up his state to business, such as billions in corporate tax breaks and a gutting of public unions.
