The GAVI Alliance is a leading public-private partnership in global health. It seeks an experienced, transformative Director of Human Resources to grow the organisation's culture of professional development and performance management. As a knowledge-based organisation, GAVI's human resources are critical to its success. This is an enormously exciting opportunity to help shape an already strong organisation. GAVI's innovation and efficacy have won the confidence of the global community. The Director of Human Resources will be part of a dynamic team that builds on these achievements. GAVI's core mission is to save children's lives and protect people's health by increasing access to immunisation in poor countries. Working with its partners, the GAVI Alliance has helped to bring life-saving vaccines to over 70 developing countries, contributed to saving more than five million lives in its first decade, and has pioneered innovative financing mechanisms and programming approaches to international development aid. As a result of a successful recent funding round, GAVI has the financing to deliver on its 2011-2015 plan which aims to prevent an additional four million deaths. GAVI's culture combines excellence from both the private and international public sectors, and a commitment to run a lean organisation that makes a real impact on the lives of millions.
