Life has got easier for big firms this year. They now have access to several forms of credit. They have stampeded into the bond markets to take advantage of low borrowing costs and push out refinancing dates while they can. Record amountsrnof corporate bonds have been issued this year. The market for commercial paper is open again, too. Stockmarkets offer another avenue to capital.

While quite a number of English-Japanese dictionaries of business and legal terms have been publishedin Japan, there seem to be very few Japanese-English dictionaries on the market which give clear explanations of thesubtle differences in meaning between the various English equivalents of terms in such specialized fields.
