I sometimes have power outages, power glitches, and even occasional lightening disturbances which wreak havoc on my very expensive CNC equipment. Is there anything I can do to protect my equipment? : It happens all the time! I've made a fortune repairing EDM's with no protection. Who in the world would purchase $150,000 machine and not make sure its protected; especially EDM machines that rely on the incoming power to do their work. Even glitches can affect many different components in an EDM machine. Some repairs from electrical disturbances on EDM machines can take months to troubleshoot and result in very costly repairs and downtime.
