摘要

Mechanical characteristic parameter can be used to evaluate circuit breaker performance, traditional test method for measuring characteristic parameter cannot be applied on-line, also the application process is complicated. To solve this problem, a new method for Timing parameters extraction from vibration signal of circuit breaker in opening process is proposed. First, based on the principle of spring operating mechanism, the vibration event caused by components impact in the opening process is analyzed. Then, in order to eliminate noise, variation mode decomposition is adopted to decompose vibration signal, reconstruct the signal by components whose waveform change is consistent with original signal. Finally, timing parameters in the opening process of circuit breaker (CB) are detected by double threshold method based on short time energy entropy ratio. Through comparison of the timing parameters extracted from vibration signal and experimental travel curve, the correctness of proposed method is verified. This study provides a new method for on-line detection of high voltage circuit breaker characteristic parameters.
