The paper presents the chosen aspects of parameters selection of input impedance of an electric traction vehicle with asynchronous motors supplied by voltage inverters. Efficiency of exemplary filters in attenuation of both current harmonics from a catenary side as well as harmonics generated by a drive system is presented on the basis of computer simulation results. Input impedance module was assumed as attenuation of harmonics from a supply side efficiency assessment parameter. Due to the fact that a minimum value of this parameter is defined by the standard for the frequency used in classical track circuits, attention was paid to impedance for frequency 50 Hz. Based on the analysis of the influence of a traction converter operation point on a drive system input impedance module, it was shown that even traction vehicles equipped with input filters, which meet the appropriate standards from the field of compatibility can be characterized by a changeable input impedance module depending on a strategy of a traction drive control system. This article presents the results concerning attenuation of selected filters, changeability of a drive system input impedance module in a frequency function of a basic component of inverter output voltage (f_(fal)) for various switching strategies and parameters of an input filter, impact of a traction substation output filter on the level of current harmonics transfer from a drive system to a catenary.
