Garaventa Canada received the Surrey Export Award at the Fourth Annual International Trade and Surrey Export Award Dinner held on May 13 at the SheratonrnVancouver Guildford Hotel in Surrey. The event is held annually in order to recognize companies and organizations with innovative technology and strategies. The event also featured a mini trade show representing a variety of countries and speakers on international trade. Garaventa manufactures the GSL Atria, an inclined-platform wheelchair lift that travels on tubular rails mounted to a stairway. This style of inclined platform lift can follow both straight and curved stairways and can provide access to up to seven landings. The GSL Atria is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
