The Latest: Croatia’s telecommunications regulator, HAKOM, has launched a public auction for 5G spectrum.Operators have until mid-June 2021 to submit their interest. Croatia’s three largest operators by market share – T-HrvatskiTelekom (T-HT), A1 Hrvatska and Telemach Hrvatska – have all requested to participate.Implications: The 5G auction launched in May 2021 is the first to be held in Croatia; so far, no frequencies have been madeavailable for 5G use. Auctions for frequencies in the 700MHz, 3.6GHz and 26GHz bands were initially going to be held in H220 butwere postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
