Earlier this year, members of the Bradford Model Engineering Society were treated to an excellent slide show by John Whiteley, a member of the Railway Circle - each slide containing in addition to a train, an expanse of water. The water ranged in quantity from a puddle in a railway yard through glimpses of rivers or streams to lakes and oceans. Local scenes included the line close to the River Aire at Connonly; the line through Saltaire near the Leeds and Liverpool canal; a Class 37 passing the flood plain near Skipton and many others.
