The profile of Vicki L. O'Leary, the ironworkers' union leader who is the winner of ENR's 54th annual Award of Excellence, was a team effort this year, consistent with Editor-in-Chief Janice Tuchman's approach to managing the magazine (see story, p. 32). Given O'Leary's fast-paced activity level, staff members pitched in to provide a well-rounded look into her world and the work she is doing to create needed diversity and respect on North American construction jobsites.
