摘要

A physical process for Volatile Organic Compounds(VOCs)recovery is achieved by gas-liquid transfer. Mass transfer characteristics for the absorption of VOCs in a gauze-type structured packing(Sulzer BX)are presented. The solvents concerned are VOCS in low concentrations from contaminated air generated by industries such as coating operations and painting activities which are soluble in water. The washing performances are discussed in terms of removal efficiency, overall mass transfer coefficient and height of an overall transfer unit(and/or number of transfer unit).
