EPA resources chief Craig Hooks is leaving the agency after 26 years that included top positions in the Office of Administration & Resources Management (OARM), Office of Water, Office of Solid Waste & Emergency Response and Office of Environmental Information, creating another high-level vacancy at EPA following the imminent departure of deputy agency chief Bob Perciasepe. In a July 24 memo to OARM staff obtained by Inside EPA, Hooks says he is leaving the agency to take a job in the telecommunications industry. "What has made it such a terrific job, is that I have had the opportunity to get to know and work with so many in the OARM family. I have considered it to be a great honor and privilege and truly applaud your talent, professionalism and passion for your work," he said of leading OARM.
