U.S. Steel is ratcheting up water-monitoring procedures at its Indiana plant as part of a settlement with regulators in one of two suits the company faces over a 2017 discharge of a known carcinogen into Lake Michigan.But the company's deal with the Justice Department and state of Indiana doesn't include an organization representing a group of surfers who alleged they became sick after riding the waves near the plant-and the surfers' lawyer says their fight isn't over yet.
