Former and current environmental officials are set to justify the White House's directive to ax an Obama-era rule clarifying the scope of Clean Water Act jurisdiction at an April 26 Senate committee hearing. The hearing will examine why President Donald Trump's executive order to repeal and replace the 2015 Clean Water Rule, or waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) (RIN: 2040-AF30), was justified.
