The Environmental Protection Agency office that oversees management of the Superfund program and solid and hazardous waste will soon change its name to more accurately reflect its mission, the head of the office told Bloomberg BNA. The Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response will now be called the Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM), said Mathy Stanislaus, assistant EPA administrator for solid waste and emergency response. "Our programmatic footprint has expanded beyond 'solid waste,' " Stanislaus said.
