Life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions from biodiesel made with canola oil are half those of petroleum-based diesel fuel, the Environmental Protection Agency says in a notice published July 26 (75 Fed. Reg. 43,522).rnAccording to the notice, in which EPA announces the availability of data on canola biodiesel emissions, the results would justify classifying biodiesel from canola as a renewable fuel.
