A draft Environmental Protection Agency plan to address environmental justice considerations in its work by 2014 lacks specific criteria to measure progress as it is implemented, an agency advisory council said in a draft letter discussed Nov. 17.rnThe draft letter from the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council said EPA's draft Plan EJ 2014 sets out five goals for the agency to better address environmental justice through its work but does not provide any guidance on how those goals will be achieved. EPA asked the advisory council to provide recommendations to strengthen the draft plan, including prioritizing its goals.
