New Jersey/Agreement to Transfer Regulatory AuthorityrnNotice announces an agreement with New Jersey to transfer portions of the NRC's regulatory authority to the state concerning the possession and use of certain byproduct material; source material; special nuclear materials; and land disposal of byproduct, source, or special nuclear material waste received from other persons, pursuant to Section 274 of the Atomic Energy Act. The agreement is effective Sept. 30, 2009.
