The study's principal research question - What are the qualities of the sustainability perspectives of adults engaged in a whole-school sustainability program? - was guided by examining the link between 'inner views' of participants regarding sustainability and their sustainability learning practices in shaping a liveable future (a healthy, ongoing relationship between humanity and the Earth). The study set out to explore how specific educational practices, such as multi-stakeholder dialog, might improve the environmental impact-wealth relationship. Semi-formal interview data were collected in 2006 from 30 participants (teachers, caretakers, administrators, and coordinators) at 10 secondary 'EcoSchools' in Canada, Lithuania and Sweden.
