Feldman and Turner defend the making of so-called 'NIMBY' claims as ethically justifiable. They do so while confronting a case—Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s opposition to the Cape Wind Project in Nantucket Sound—that makes them 'deeply uncomfortable' (p.6). I concur with both of these views. Nonetheless, I argue that the authors take the wrong route to arrive at them, leaving us with a confused understanding of NIMBY and so a defense that concedes too much to critics.
