摘要

The aim of this paper is to emphasize the advantages of the symbolic approach to generate, in a recursive form, the equations of motion of large multibody systems: vehicles on road and on track certainly represent one of the most attractive applications. In this context, we have modelled a wide range of urban tramways using the symbolic generation and taking advantage of the so-called segmentation technique. Some numerical example will then be presented and shortly discussed. Several video recording of graphic animations will be shown during the conference.
