Hardware ven-dors for the past several years have been touting the business advantages enterprises can gain through virtu-alization, and have been aggressively rolling out new systems designed to take advantage of the technology. Most recently, Hewlett-Packard and IBM on Sept. 2 unveiled blade servers that officials with both companies say will make it easier for businesses to adopt virtualization by reducing some of the performance barriers, such as memory bottlenecks.
