Chinese shipbuilding's ever-widening portfolio has benefited from the input of Norwegian design technology to produce one of the world's most advanced platform supply vessels, in the shape of the 3,950gt/4,450dwt Bourbon Front. The combination of features that has resulted in a performance-optimised support ship includes a cargo solution incorporating tanks suited to both dry and liquid bulk materials, a novel exhaust system, catalytic convertersand various measures to achieve exceptionally quiet onboard conditions. Using the X-Bow hull form integral to the Ulstein PX105 design employed, Bourbon Front is thefirst of its type to have been built in Asia.
