"My interest is in the future because I am going to spend the rest of my life there," said the legendary American engineer, inventor, and holder of 186 patents, Charles Kettering. I believe it is the same for many people, with much of our expectation based on what we see before us and reasonable assumptions, recognising that we as individuals have limited control over taxes, technological development, and geopolitical wrangling.
