Captain Claus Hyldager, chief executive of prominent maritime services group Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) for the past nine years, has unexpectedly decided to leave his post. The group said that Hyldager, 57, had decided to step down but offered no explanation for his decision. In its announcement ISS said, "Captain Claus Hyldager is now serving a period of garden[ing] leave and will assist with an orderly handover. A special committee of the ISS board will oversee the search for a permanent CEO with the assistance of a leading executive search firm."
