PSA International of Singapore, through subsidiary PSA Colombia Pacific, has purchased 46% of indirect ICTSI subsidiary, Sociedad Puerto Industrial Aguadulce (SPIA), in order to build, own and operate the container port and ancillary facilities at Aguadulce. "ICTSI acquired the concession a few years ago," Rafael Consing, ICTSI vice-president, told Fairplay. "We have been discussing the possibility of collaborating with PSA [on] the right opportunity. Eventually, we concluded that SPIA was a good project to jointly develop with them."
