IMarEST (the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology), the marine professionals, industry, research and education organisation, has lost the services of CEO Marcus Jones. After joining as chief operating officer in January 2008, Jones was appointed CEO in May 2009, but leaves "to pursue new interests" without a replacement identified. Chairman of the board of trustees Prof Chris Hodge credits Jones for delivery of IMarEST's change management project to reduce costs substantially and achieve year-on-year income growth.
