Faced with a stubborn slump in finished vehicle imports at its flagship ocean terminal Bremerhaven, ports-to-logistics group BLG Logistics is pressing ahead with the diversification of its service portfolio for automo bile shippers.rnThe two thrusts of the company's strategy are adding more ocean and inland terminal capacity in the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe and expanding intermodal carriage capacity for both maritime and continental shipments. The group, owned by the state of Bremen, has been operating two vehicle terminals in St Petersburg, where import volumes are recovering faster than in Ger many, since 2009.
