Here we are in the closing weeks of 2010 thinking about the themes of the year for our annual reviews. And no list of bullet points would be complete without the words 'solvency' and 'credit'.rnHistorians will look back on the past few years and will no doubt be bemused by how much time has been spent worrying about the age-old practice of granting loans and creating debt. Those of us who work at the sharp end of international trade know as well as any fool knows that the movement of financial capital and goods is quite dependent on credit, which, in turn, is dependent on the reputation or creditwor thiness of the individual, firm or country that takes responsibility for the funds.
