Allweiler's recent $2M order to supply pump equipment for bulk-ers being built at ABG, the largest private yard in India, points to a rich vein of business on offer from Indian shipyards that other marine equipment companies will do well to watch closely.rnThe order covers more than 350 pumps for a series of 35,000dwt bulk carriers being built at the Indian yard. Delivery of the pumps will start in February and will continue until all of the newbuildings are completed in 2012.rnGermany's Allweiler is not a newcomer to the Indian market. The deal builds on the company's solid business conducted with India in the past, which has seenrnit deliver pump equipment to shipyards Cochin, Colombo, Bharati and Tebma. Geir Olimb, Allweiler's sales director, has called the new contract "a breakthrough in the Indian merchant marine newbuild market."
