Pertamina, Indonesia s state-owned oil and gas company, has plans this year to purchase 12 tanker newbuildings with a com-rnbined value of $333M. Four of the vessels are liquid petroleum gas (LPG) carriers, two of which have a capacity of 3,500m~3 and the other two of 23,000m~3.rnShareholders in the company will still have to approve purchase of other tankers which include an additional LPG tanker ofrn3,500m~3, a very large gas carrier of 45,000dwt, and one vessel each of 3,500dwt and 6,500dwt and a pair of 17,500dwt tankers. The tanker orders should be finalised in 2012-13.
