Piraeus Port Authority has named George Nikoloulias and ApostolosrnSigouras as CEOs of its new subsidiaries PPA Logistics and NAFSOLP. US-educated Nikoloulias previously served as MD Asia-Pacific at Alstom Transport. He has been tasked with developing the port's rail links because it is widely acknowledged in Greece that Piraeus will be unable to progress as a logistics centre and expand its container facilities without rail links. Sigouras, who trained as an engineer, has been manager in several consulting firms, including transformation and management consultant Capgemini in Paris. He will undertake the revival of Piraeus's ship repair activity, which is crucial to port development, says PPA head George Anomeritis.
