The market is charged with optimism as it enters the Lunar New Year holidays in the Far East, with growing signs that charter rates will gain more ground in the weeks ahead. "In the face of some disconcerting economic news from the US and in the lead-up to the year's major holiday season in the Far East, the charter market has still seen fit this week to push on to its highest level since the third quarter of 2005," noted Braemar Seascope Containers in its latest market brief.
