By 2010, cruise calls at Hafen City wiill have quadrupled in just five years and the authority has plans to build a new terminal complex closer to the heart of the city. More cruise ships will sail up the River Elbe to dock at the Hamburg Cruise Center in the years to come, believe the developers of the Hafen City Hamburg project, of which the cruise terminal is a part. This year, the number of callers doubled to 56 from just 27 in 2005, but in 2010 more than 100 cruise calls are expected to take place.
