The major shipmanagers are adding more and more services, like newbuilding supervision, travel, insurance, risk-management consultancy, shipbroking and agency, to their core product. What's driving this trend? What problems and benefits does it bring? For Captain Simon Pressly, GM and director of shipmanager Dorchester Maritime, the growth in services offered is all about the manager growing alongside the client. The extension of that is providing a full service to the owner," he says.
