Logistics support for offshore oil and gas platforms comparable to any other part of the world - that is the ambition of Asco of Aberdeen, which recently arrived in Trinidad to take over management of BP's local offshore logistics operations. Asco brings with it considerable experience, having worked for many years with BP in the North Sea, as well as with companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico and offshore Brazil, Canada, Norway, Denmark and the Faroe Islands. Asco Trinidad has assumed responsibility for the supply management needs of 25 separate platforms off the east coast of Trinidad, in the Atlantic Ocean. The furthest structure from the land base at Galeota Point is five hours' sailing time.
