By the end of last week, all but the Kuwait-rnSingapore Af ramax trade of the BDI had rebounded, while the Caribs-US trade soared from WS109 to WS156 week-on-week. Such fluctuations on this trade are not unusual however, and while the supply concerns of charterers underwrote more freight gains, developments in the Middle East and the longer-term prospects for the world economyrnhave kept the market in 'wait-and-see' mode.
