Of the seven incident time series, the only one which immediately shows a direct correlation with the weather is the CHIMNEY series. The other promising result is the link between SMALL FIRE incidents and dry weather. At this stage the analysis is only giving qualitative support to links that are already known about. Further work will be required to see if the links can be quantified. The lack of any clear link between the weather and the FAGI, SSC and RTA time series may be due to the spatial And temporal resolution of the data. The analysis has Compared monthly incident totals for an area with weather Data from a single site.
