Cessna's decision to market the Mod-el 162 SkyCatcher is exciting and promising ("Oshkosh," October). Not only will it reduce (or at least restrain) the cost of primary flight training, it will later provide some great used aircraft for personal use (the Cessna 150 and 152). However, would someone please advise Cessna to put some careful engineering and ergonomics into its seats? The oddly curved, low-back seats shown in the prototype 162 look no better than the butt-numbing, back-busting bench seat in my 1946 Aeronca Chief.
