VoiceFlight recently received an STC for its VFS101 voice recognition system for Garmin GNS 430W and 530W GPSavcom units installed in some Cessnas. Using the phonetic alphabet, the pilot can verbally enter flight plan waypoints, which takes a fraction of the time of twisting the knobs on the 430W/530W units for each letter.
