I very much enjoyed reading the October issue, and was particularly interested to come across an item that triggered a memory for me. On page 17, in the article From Medway to Malta by Robin Brooks, a mention was made of Gloster Meteor T.7 WL345. The feature related how this airframe had donated undercarriage parts for another restoration. Its location, given as near Hastings, was more specifically St Leonards-on-Sea about five miles away, and the aircraft was in good condition when I photographed it in 1977. However, when I next came across it at Booker Airfield in Buckinghamshire during 2013, it was starting to look a bit unloved. I've often wondered how much of it still remains today. [We understand that WL345 has been moved to Middlezoy Aerodrome near Bridgwater, Somerset, where it has been given a new identity and is being restored as a composite with the forward section of WL360 - ED]
