Top executives from leading food company Northern Foods attended an Automation Awareness seminar in March at the Doncaster headquarters of CenFRA (Centre for Food Robotics and Automation). Approximately 50 Northern Foods Factory Managers, Senior Engineers and Project Engineers, including Chief Executive Stefan Barden, representing the company's sites from across the UK and Ireland, were at the one day event to further hone their automation knowledge and to learn best practice. A series of specialist speakers presented to the exclusive event. These included Mike Wilson, President of BARA (British Automation and Robotics Association and a member of the CenFRA TAG team (Technology Advisor Group), Professor Terrence Perera from Sheffield Hallam University and Emma Swinscoe of the Food & Drink Forum, along with a number of leading industry suppliers.
